Mentoring Program in Physics

The mentoring program is aimed at all first semester students in physics. If you wish to participate in the program as a so-called mentee, you will be assigned a professor as your personal mentor. Your mentor will then act as your first point of contact for all kinds of questions and advice about studying in physics. Participation costs you nothing and is completely voluntary.

If you would like to register for the mentoring program, please write a short e-mail with the subject "mentoring" to the coordinator of the mentoring program, Prof. Ferdinand Schmidt-Kaler (fsk@uni-mainz.de), no later than the first week of lectures. Please be sure to include an e-mail address where you can be easily reached (either your university e-mail address or your private e-mail address).

After all mentees and mentors have been assigned, you will receive an e-mail from your mentor to arrange a get-to-know-you meeting.
